Kulula.com = Kulula.crap

Whilst we were in South Africa, we were driving to Durban Airport to catch our flights to Cape Town with Kulula Airlines. On the way we were involved in a horrible car accident.A driver in the opposite lane either fell asleep or blacked out (she says) and came out from behind a truck towards our lane. Luckily we were able to avoid a direct head on crash, but we were hit on the side which caused us to spin uncontrollably and we ended up facing the opposite direction in the opposite lane.

No one was injured, luckily..

We were on the side of the road for at least 4 hours, waiting for the police and the tow truck and then giving our statements. This meant we were going to miss our flights as we were still 4 hours drive away from Durban.

My mother phoned Kulula Airlines to explain that we had just been in an accident and we would not make our flights. There was absolutely no compassion from Kulula and we were charged R3700 (Approx £250) to change our flights to the next morning. This is after we had just paid over R5000 for the original flights.

Kulula, you are a bunch of numpties and I will never fly with you again and will definitely not be recommending Kulula to anyone visiting South Africa.

South Africa | TWO

After Newcastle, we moved on to Durban for a few days. Unfortunately, the weather was rubbish so we couldn't spend our days lounging on the beach soaking up the rays!

We spent one of the days at uShaka Marine World which is an awesome place and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Durban! We then went on to have a delicious lunch at Moyo on the beach front!

South Africa | One

The first part of our trip was spent in my hometown, Newcastle, which is in Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal. We had a great time seeing old friends, spending time with the family and throwing a bridal shower for my sister - photos to follow soon!
